While Aldis has made it transparent that his character, Decourcy, was overwhelmed so onerous by means of his dad that he now walks round with a fake left eye, he is never mentioned whether or not he has a fake eye in actual existence.

However, he has spoken out about his adolescence, but it seems different to that of Decourcy's. “At nine, I used to be carefree, but I was also quite shy and I was now not confident when it came to conversation. I was an introvert. So a lot of an introvert," Aldis told the Chicago Tribune.

"So this was once something new for me to figure out, as a result of while you’re an introvert and you are feeling like you’re being publicly ridiculed on a grand scale (in front of an target audience) it could actually play up your nervousness. So it used to be like, either you’re going to rise up and brush yourself off and stay pushing — or you’re no longer. But there actually is not any choice. You have to keep going," he added.
