Henry Cavills dream project is marvelously nerdy

Henry Cavill has always been known as a proud nerd, and his position as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher has cemented him as a geek legend. And in an exclusive interview with Empire Magazine’s Pilot TV podcast, Cavil published his dream project. Unsurprisingly, this project is just as geeky as you can be expecting.

During the interview, Cavill discussed the new season of The Witcher, his love of the videogames, and his need to make the collection accurate to the books. Near the end of the interview, the host requested Cavill about his love of Warhammer 40K and asks why there has never been a tight adaptation of the legendary Games Workshop sci-fi franchise.

In reaction, Cavill mentioned that he would find irresistible to do something set within the 40K universe. When the host suggested that he take the role of fan-favorite persona Gregor Eisenhorn, the mythical Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos, Cavill briefly responded.

“I don’t learn about Eisenhorn essentially, whilst you’ve were given Valdor and Primarchs in the market, then it kind of feels a disgrace to be an insignificant inquisitor. But I might absolutely bounce at that chance. It’s something I would be very, very excited to do.”

However, regardless of his radiant enthusiasm for the speculation, Cavill notes that he’s satisfied Games Workshop, Warhammer 40K’s house owners, were protective in their IP and that there don't seem to be “numerous TV presentations and movies and stuff executed poorly.”

Cavill additionally mentioned that if a Warhammer 40K sequence ever came about, it could need to be executed “completely” and “to a Lord Of The Rings level.” He also noted that he would feel free to do Warhammer 40K’s prequel sequence Warhammer 30K, and even Warhammer Fantasy.

He summarized the segment via pronouncing that the Games Workshop worlds are “so wealthy” and that the universe is “so exciting.” He said that a sequence based on them is the “true dream job alternative” and that if he had the risk to show them in live-action, he can be “ecstatic.”

This isn’t the primary time Cavill’s love of Warhammer 40K has been on show. Recently a clip of Cavill speaking about Warhammer on the Graham Norton Show went viral on Twitter. Many users were dissatisfied at how condescending Norton used to be towards Cavill’s pastime, resulting in many of us Tweeting in support of the superstar.

Only time will inform if a Warhammer 40K collection comes to fruition. However, if Games Workshop ever comes to a decision to make the leap, it sort of feels transparent that Henry Cavill will probably be first in line on the auditions, ready to realize his dreams.
