For the previous 3 years or so, The Enquirer has been operating stories about Morgan Freeman and his possible decade-long affair with his step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines. E’Dena and Morgan are not similar via blood – she’s the daughter of one of Morgan’s step-children, however Morgan did have a hand in elevating her. The complete scenario used to be relatively creepy, and The Enquirer saved going at it like they had a excellent source, any individual close to the situation. In later reports, it appeared increasingly more like The Enquirer’s source used to be either Morgan’s estranged (and now ex) spouse, or anyone on the subject of her. What’s interesting is that the majority of The Enquirer’s reporting used to be all through 2010, and just a little bit in 2011. And now right here we're, April 2012, and Morgan has finally mentioned something concerning the tales:

Morgan Freeman is adamant … he has NEVER had a romantic dating with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines … and slams all of the experiences to the contrary as “defamatory fabrications.”

Morgan just launched a remark responding to contemporary experiences that he and Hines had been relationship for kind of 10 years and had been planning to get married within the very near future.

Freeman’s rep tells us the actor remained silent for years because he didn’t need to “dignify these tales by way of commenting” … however now he feels pressured to talk out after the studies have been picked up via quite a lot of “mainstream media” retailers.

For the report, E’Dena is the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw. She and Morgan don't seem to be comparable by blood.

At one level, the Enquirer made it seem like his affair with E’Dena used to be so hush-hush that Morgan had “reliable” dates for more than a few crimson carpets. Plus, he if truth be told “cheated” on E’Dena often (allegedly) – meaning that he used to be continuously within the company of ladies, and seeking to pin him down about just one “girlfriend” is a misplaced cause. The Enquirer also stated that at one level, E’Dena used to be principally blackmailing Morgan into continuing their relationship, threatening to head public with the whole sordid tale except he persisted their courting. So… I don’t know. I didn’t suppose Morgan would ever factor a remark about all of these items, and I’m shocked that E’Dena spoke up too. Maybe they finally broke off their affair and neither of them is looking back? Or perhaps it never came about (despite the fact that I think it did).
