Tamera Coggins-Wynn was part of the iconic R&B team Xscape, however then she had to leave the group, so where is Tamera now?

Many of us are loving the R&B and hip-hop battles taking place on Verzuz Battle, and boy, are we in for a deal with. One of the most iconic battles is between girl teams SWV (Sisters With Voices) and Xscape. Both came onto the scene in the '90s and sold thousands and thousands of records.

Xscape consisted of four members, but it surely in truth began as a quintet. Its individuals have been sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Kandi Burruss. Tiny is now married to T.I., and the couple has recently come below fireplace for abuse allegations. Kandi is well known for her position on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. And then, there was Tamera Coggins-Wynn. Why did she depart, and where is she now?

Why did Tamera Coggins-Wynn depart Xscape?

Tamera Coggins-Wynn used to be in the girl group Xscape till 1991. But then, after Tiny got here into the workforce, things got dodgy for Tamera. In an interview with DJ Vlad, Tiny printed the real explanation why why Tamera left Xscape. Basically, Xscape was once intended to be a quartet, and Tamera was once in the workforce ahead of Tiny. But as soon as Tiny auditioned, they had to have her, so the quartet was a quintet.

Tiny explained, “I think after they known as me to come back in and audition for the staff, they were fascinated with possibly replacing her because I believe they felt that she was not as much into it as the rest of the ladies.” 

Then, the women began running with a brand new manager. Tiny printed, “[Tamera and the supervisor] had a very large argument one time while we had been at the studio and it simply went left box and he said she was once out of the team.”

TV One’s Unsung dug deeper into why Tamera had to leave Xscape. Kandi Burruss's mother actually explained what happened with Tamera and the manager. “He was once having an issue with Tamera. He was once announcing that she was once no longer a real singer, that she could no longer grasp up her section.” Basically, the manager gave the ladies the ultimatum to get dropped or vote out Tamera. They picked the latter.

Tamera Coggins-Wynn is now doing well and seems to be proud of how things played out with Xscape.

Tamera Coggins-Wynn is in truth still shut buddies with Tiny and Kandi and was once in truth a bridesmaid at Kandi’s marriage ceremony in 2014! It seems like she truly isn’t harboring any exhausting emotions in regards to getting kicked out of Xscape.

When asked how she felt about all the Xscape drama, Tamera shared, “If the other folks in the crew didn’t assume enough to say, ‘Hey, we're a gaggle, we are a circle of relatives, we're one unit’ then I don’t need to be round you. I simply mentioned, ‘OK, that’s high-quality. I’ll be superb.’ And I’m great [now].”

Good for Tamera! Maybe she’ll be staring at and supporting the Xscape reunion at the side of us all!
